“Porn is bad y’all!” That’s basically what I heard when I was a youngling, only to be shocked when I discovered the elders telling me this had collections of porn videotapes and magazines.

Being an inquisitive youngster, I would somehow manage to see the hidden tapes and got to know performers like Angel Kelly, Ebony Ayes, Dominique Simone, Janet Jacme to name but a few.

I was equally shocked in grade nine – some eons ago – when a friend came with a complete Hustler Magazine to school. I was so shocked and scandalized that I asked him if I could borrow the magazine, and shocked more when he actually gave it to me on a Friday – to read over the weekend.

Even more shocking, my other friend’s sister had a collection of Penthouse Magazine, which he allowed me to take home. Both hustler and Penthouse had really long informative articles on non-porn issues.

Years later, I was again shocked when I wrote to some British porn mags to send me a sample copies. I received six free magazines by post. Six man, I was extremely shocked and scandalized. Again I got shocked and scandalized when an UNZA student bought my entire porn magazines collection for a tidy sum.

Fast-forward a few years, the internet age. There I was a young college kid, and my desk-mate gave me a few URLs to check out. Dude was into some kinky shit, my prudish sensibilities wouldn’t allow me to view anything. Dude wanted to invite me to the dark-web. Nope, not me, I only watch or view legal ish, or kinky within reason – or so I once thought.

Fast-forward a few more years and I found myself reading about porn stars in my GQ magazines every so often. Savannah and Jenna Jameson were faves of theirs.

Fast-forward some years again folks are sending porn clips via whatsapp. What’s shocking  is the low quality of the clips. Some clips are big file sized shit quality clips that make you wonder how un-tech savvy folks can be. With so many sources of high quality porn, where on earth do folks get shit quality from?

Anyways, back to the dangers of porn.

  1. Many folks don’t realize that all that is scripted make-believe. It’s not real at all. Even that Bang Bros and Reality Kings is not real reality.
  2. Folks forgetting that there’s such a thing as editing. Scenes lasting 2 hours should make you wonder what kind of stamina can cause such? The scenes are edited and stitched together. There’s even stunt cocks on standby to takeover in case the lead star cums too early.
  3. Trying to re-enact the scenes in real life is a no-no. Nobody talks dirty like that, no one screams Naija movie soundtrack loud like that. Folks trying to break their backs reenacting scenes from their favouite porn site.

Basically the main problem with porn is many people just don’t want to accept that porn is not real life.

I leave y’all with some of the recent stars of the porn industry. At times i wonder why such beautiful women end up in such an industry. Then i remember that beauty doesn’t do anything for anyone, and that porn is a multi-billion dollar industry and many of these ladies earn more than I’ll ever earn in my lifetime.

I still do get shocked and scandalized by what I see around me. Folks collect the weirdest and kinkiest things.

To be honest having been exposed to porn at a young age did mess me up, and at the same time helped me grow into a better person. How did porn help me? Well, there were many a time bros would come with clips and claim they were Zambian women selling their bodies for cars and riches. One look at the said clips, and i could name the performers, identifying them as definitely not being Zambian. Helped me learn pre-facebook that my country men and women tell tall tales that are definitely not based on the truth at all.

And how did porn ruin me? Well I almost broke my back reenacting the signature move of a performer known as Justin Slayer. Let’s just say that almost going to hospital for coitus gone wrong is a great way to become saved and a better kree’shaan.
